Gwinnett Pro Golf Tournament To Benefit Charities
Healthcare and education will benefit from the Greater Gwinnett Championship golf tournament in 2013 at TPC Sugarloaf in Duluth.
The charities and non-profit organizations benefiting from the 2013 golf tournament through the Gwinnett Championship Foundation include the Gwinnett Children’s Shelter, Gwinnett Technical College, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Georgia Gwinnett College, and the Gwinnett County Public Schools Foundation, according to an announcement issued November 12.
The Greater Gwinnett Championship is an official event on the PGA TOUR’s Champions Tour. The 54-hole stroke play golf tournament, which marks the return of professional championship golf to Gwinnett County, will feature 81 Champions Tour professionals competing for a $1.8-million purse April 15-21, 2013.
The tournament is being presented by Mitsubishi Electric Cooling & Heating, which is based in Suwanee.
