The envelope, please ... "Argo" and "The Life of Pi" came up big Sunday in the  2013 Oscars from Los Angeles.

According to the Los Angeles Times, the best picture award for "Argo" was some redemption for director Ben Affleck, who was not nominated in the best director category.

Also, Daniel Day-Lewis won best actor for "Lincoln" -- his third, the most ever -- and Jennifer Lawrence for lead actress for “Silver Linings Playbook."
