Buffalo's Cafe To Replace Diggers in Suwanee

The changeover is scheduled to happen on December 27.

A popular casual dining restaurant in Suwanee is about to take on a new identity.

Diggers Grill & Tap, located on Peachtree Industrial Boulevard near McGinnis Ferry Road, will become Buffalo's Cafe on Thursday, December 27. The Buffalo's website notes that a Suwanee location is "coming soon," and restaurant staff at Diggers has been informing customers of the upcoming change.

The menu will convert to Buffalo's, which also is casual dining.

According to Diggers staff, the change is prompted by Diggers owners Paul and Flay Dalrymple, who also own the Hamilton Mill location of Buffalo's.

This will add to recent restaurant changes in Suwanee. Olde Towne Tavern & Grille closed Thursday in a bankruptcy proceeding. And a Mexican eatery plans to open in January in a shopping plaza near I-85.

I love Diggers and am so disappointed. I am not a fan of Buffalo's and my daughter will be heartbroken that she can get the yummy kettle chips.

Nancy, the Diggers staff I have talked to about the move are very positive about the change. Remember, it's still the same ownership.

Yes, but a different menu! Glad the staff is happy - probably means they are staying. I'll try to be positive!!!

I am sure the owners have their reasons for the change however this is going from a 3.5 star restaurant to a 1 star restaurant . Suwanee is saturated with this type of dining. I wish the owners and staff well , just not a place I would have any interest in dining.

Buffalo serves all fresh from scratch. Not the Buffalos of the past. You need to check this out.
