Early Voting Resumes in Suwanee on Monday, October 29

People waited for hours as satellite voting opened at George Pierce Park on Saturday.

If Saturday was any indication, George Pierce Park in Suwanee will be a very busy place this week.

Early voting for the 2012 elections will resume on Monday, October 29, and run through Friday, November 2, at the park's community center. Hours are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Last Saturday, on the first day of satellite voting at the park, the voting line stretched into the park's main street before 10 a.m. One voter said that she arrived before 8 a.m. (polls opened at 9) and still had to wait 20 minutes to vote.

Others have left comments saying that they waited in line for several hours.

On Election Day, November 6, all voting will be done at county precincts.

Took us almost 6-1/2 hours. The county board of elections should be ashamed of itself. 15 operational voting machines, but only 3 operational computers + people to check voters in and distribute ballot cards.
