Georgia Gwinnett College's Public Safety Department says a woman was sexually assaulted on the campus in the overnight hours Sunday (Sept. 9). The incident occurred sometime between 11:45 p.m. Sunday and 2:45 a.m. Monday.

According to GGC's website, a woman was returning to her car in the B parking lot late Sunday evening near the campus residence halls. The woman told campus police that she was pushed into her car and then sexually assaulted by an unknown man.

The suspect is described as a light-skinned black male with a muscular build who was wearing white shorts. The man ran off after attacking the woman.
