Half of the Class AAAAAA state football quarterfinals are filled by Gwinnett teams: Norcross, North Gwinnett, Parkview and Mill Creek.

Buford (Class AAA) and Greater Atlanta Christian (Class AA) are also still alive, giving the Georgia High School Association playoffs a strong Gwinnett County flavor.
