The long-anticipated Hallmark store near Peachtree Industrial Boulevard in Suwanee is closer to reality.

Construction work has begun on the interior of a vacant business suite in a shopping center at Peachtree Industrial Boulevard-McGinnis Ferry Road intersection. The suite was vacated earlier in 2012 by Once Again Kids, a consignment store.

It is not known when Hallmark plans to be in business in this particular center, which has Publix as the anchor tenant.

Still vacant in the same center is the suite once occupied by Wallace Reed Music, once a mainstay in Suwanee.
