People constantly speed on McGinnis Ferry in that area as well as PIB nearby. I can barely turn onto either street on a daily basis without seeing someone obviously in excess of the speed limit. It's a miracle there haven't been more major accidents in this area. I live on McGinnis Ferry and saw the crushed vehicles. Horrible.

It would be helpful to have bus service in Suwanee as well as the traffic is near capacity. Not sure why there isn't any.

Without going into too much detail, Mike works for our company and we are praying that he recovers from major injuries. He returned to Georgia to take care of his aging mother about 7 years ago and due to injuries and medication, does not know that his mother died in the wreck. Mike and I often carpooled together and I hated that intersection and I hate it more now. It amazes me now in hindsight that Gwinnett School buses pick up students close to that intersection each morning knowing that another car could end up in their path. While no one knows what really happened other than the other driver appeared to cross the median, his family, including four children lost their dad that night as well.

I travel the McGinnis Ferry stretch several times a day and I will say that too many drive as if they are on a drag race track. There was definitely a difference in driving pattern last week with the heavy police presence. More needs to be done so that people will adhere to the speed limits and no further tragedies will happen.

Yes, I did see that, but I also witnessed the heavy police presence at several points on McGinnis Ferry last week. They were stopping drivers at random.

Suwanee Police heavily stress police visibility as a crime and accident deterrent.

I have always been an advocate for a red light at that intersection. We take our lives into our hands coming out of Scales everyday. We live on Lake Pass Lane, but we did not know the family. Our thoughts are with them.
