Medians on PIB To Get Makeover in Suwanee

Revamp will have a unique look in the city.

Medians on Peachtree Industrial Boulevard in Suwanee soon will have a new look, due to City Council action.

Work should begin in early April on landscaping for medians along the heavily traveled thoroughfare. City Council approved the $143,000 project last week, with Russell Landscaping to do the work.

City Planning Director Josh Campbell said native grasses will be used in the landscaping, and the project will not have a normal, manicured look. The project is designed to "meet Suwanee goals, to make you feel you are someplace special."

Also, the city has begun receiving bids for work on Brushy Creek Trail, and they hope to identify a company to work with by the City Council meeting later in March.

This is the first that I've heard about the "Brushy Creek Trail". As an avid bicyclist, where can I find the details of the plan?

Thanks
