Welcome back, Patch Blogger!

Patch Launches Gwinnett, Buford and Monroe Sites

Newest Patch sites ready to launch.

In just a few hours, local residents will have three additional resources for local news, events and conversation.

Gwinnett Patch, Buford Patch and Monroe Patch are slated to launch Thursday, Aug. 23, at 3:00 p.m.

The three Patch sites will join Dacula, Duluth, Lawrenceville, Lilburn, Loganville, Norcross, Peachtree Corners, Snellville and Suwanee in serving the residents of Gwinnett County.

Gwinnett Patch will feature stories of countywide interest and highlight community news from across Gwinnett.

Monroe Patch will feature news and events from Monroe and Walton County.

Each of these sites will provide users with a platform to post news and events, engage in conversation with other members of the community and start their own conversation through blogging.

We look forward to serving the residents in our growing coverage area.

If you'd like to subscribe to the Buford, Gwinnett or Monroe Patch newsletters and be notified when the sites launch, please complete the form above and click submit.

Goody. Now maybe Grant can make the poor folks in Gwinett, Buford, and Monroe stick needles in their eyes too!

Is the Monroe Patch going to be Facebook/Twitter only ?

What about the Mugshot/Canary bunch that don't do either ?

No, the Monroe as well as the Gwinnett and Buford sites will be actual Patch sites. They should be up and running by the end of the week. So you can bookmark http://monroe-ga.patch.com/ now if you'd like and signup for the newsletter above.

No Sunken - the authentic Monroe-GA Patch in the same format as Loganville-Grayson Patch is scheduled to go live tomorrow, before the sun sets. I don't have the exact time yet and we always have to anticipate possible glitches. I'm excited - we have some great Monroe bloggers already signed up with their blogs submitted and other people in the community already contributing calendar events, story leads, etc. We're ready - well almost, just a few hours off!

"We have some great Monroe bloggers" My rank is CURMUDGEON 1ST CLASS.

Great news.
My mugshot is rather old, I need to update with a probation violation or something.

I don't Twitter or Tweet or TOOT unless I have OD'd on baked beans. :-)

BTW your spelling spy doesn't even know how to spell Vanzetta & Swanepoel.
It DOES KNOW how to spell CURMUDGEON .

I like the concept of a Gwinnett County patch. I think we will share even more about the community and bring us together. For all of you editors and techs that have been working feverishly on this, thanks.

Any plans for a Walnut Grove Patch? They have a traffic light, a fire station and a new library. : )

And TWO count 'em, TWO LIQUOR stores.
They are light-years ahead of the rest of the county ;-)
