A groundbreaking ceremony for the new Noble Village at Spalding was held Thursday (November 29), signaling that the long-awaited senior living center is finally under way.
The center had been planned for several years on the site of the former Faith Life Church on Spalding Drive, but it was late August of this year when the developer finally broke ground. Tony Gary, one of the partners in Gary Holding Group, the developers of the project, was on hand for the ceremony.
"We're excited to be here in Peachtree Corners," said Gary. "This is going to be our premier development."
The center, for seniors 55 and over, features residential cottages and apartments for independent living. Noble Village also provides specialized service for assisted and memory care residents.
There is another Noble Village, located on Satellite Boulevard in Suwanee.

Woman robbed at Hamilton Mill Kroger
A Buford woman was yanked out of her vehicle as she struggled to keep a robber from stealing her purse in the parking lot of the Hamilton Mill Road Kroger.
The woman told police she was getting into her friend’s vehicle just after 10 p.m. on Nov. 21 when a car stopped nearby. A male exited the rear passenger seat of the car and approached the woman, repeatedly saying, “Hey you!”
The woman reportedly told the man she did not know him and was halfway in her friend’s vehicle when the man grabbed her purse and began pulling on it. The woman struggled to hold onto the purse and was dragged out of the vehicle to the ground.
