Gwinnett Police: Bomb Threat Made in Duluth-Area Bank Robbery

Gwinnett Police spokesman says the suspect gave the teller a note saying he had a bomb.

 

Gwinnett County Police are looking for a man who is suspected of robbing a Chase Bank on Monday, Feb. 18, after threatening that he had a bomb.

According to a press release emailed Tuesday afternoon, police spokesman Cpl. Jake Smith said the robbery was reported at the Chase Bank at 3780 Old Norcross Road around 1:15 p.m. Monday.

"The suspect gave a note to a teller indicating that he had a bomb and wanted money," Smith wrote.

The suspect is described as an average-built white male in his late 40s or early 50s wearing blue jeans, tab jacket and black knit cap. (See photo attached to this file).

Smith said the suspect fled on foot with a small amount of cash. No vehicle was seen.
