Police: Suwanee Man Punches Wife, Throws Her To Ground

Man is charged with battery after a recent domestic incident.

A Suwanee man has been jailed on a battery charge after police say his wife was injured in a domestic dispute.

According to Gwinnett Police records, Su Nam Kim of a Highland Bluff Court address was arrested at his residence after police responded to a domestic dispute call on Monday (March 11).

Kim's wife said he "became very upset" and "threw her to the ground" after she refused his request for her to give him her key to the residence. She said her husband then punched her in the face.

The arresting officer noted that her eye was swollen and beginning to bruise.

Kim "shook his head" when the officer asked if he had punched his wife. Also, Kim told police that his wife "attempted to kill" him by choking him. However, the officer noted no signs of injury to Kim's neck.

This information was obtained from the Gwinnett Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction. Questions should be directed to suwanee@patch.com.
