Want an idea of what the shade structures will look like that are planned for Suwanee parks? Look no farther.

Workers have begun to erect structures in the playground area at Sims Lake Park, and similar structures are planned for Town Center Park in 2013.

Now, city officials have released photos showing what the structures should look like at both parks. Work is expected to be finished at Sims Lake before 2012 ends. (See attached photos.)

The shade fabric at Sims Lake Park will be forest green. The shades were purchased from Shade Systems Inc., of Ocala, Fla., and are being installed by 5 Guys Contracting of Lawrenceville.

Shade structures at the parks were a high priority in citizen feedback in the recent 20/20 Vision survey.
