If you want to fly away before 2012, airline and hotel deals abound. Vision Airlines in Suwanee is offering flights from $39 one-way to The Bahamas, according to Smartmoney.com. The Bahamas is still in hurricane season until December, but some resorts will give de facto hurricane insurance in case you need to cancel. 

• Suwanee-based Brainy Brands Co. will be exhibiting at the Toy Industry Association fall preview in Dallas on Oct. 4-6, according to a news release. The company will be showcasing its lineup of Brainy Baby products, including innovative new offerings like the Glowberry Bears, interactive, plush bears who can talk and even interact with each other; Flash Cars, educational flash cards; Brainy Twist toys that build dexterity and creativity, along with the Company’s “Learning for a Lifetime” DVDs, board books and flash cards. The event will host more than half of the world’s top 25 toy sellers and over 550 buyers from 300+ individual outlets, including Walmart, Costco and Kohl's.
