Police Drug Task Force Makes Arrests in Suwanee
'Narcotics activity complaint' prompted Suwanee officers to arrest a man and a woman.
Two Suwanee residents were arrested this week on drug charges, according to police reports.
Bayne Darnell Vaughn and Kinsey Ryanne Goss, both of an Annandale Lane address, were booked into the Gwinnett Detention Center on Wednesday, Sept. 19, on drug charges. They have been released on bond.
Suwanee Police made the arrest as part of the new inter-agency drug task force in Gwinnett that was formed as a result of the 2012 Service Delivery Strategy agreement. So-called police cities in Gwinnett now cooperate on street-level drug patrols themselves, rather than rely on the Gwinnett Police.
Police responded to the address "as part of a narcotics activity complaint," records show. After a "knock and talk," police made the arrests.
Both suspects were charged with intent to distribute, as well as possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, according to jail records.
Further details were not available on the arrest. Suwanee Police spokesperson Capt. Clyde Byers noted that confidentiality is normally required for extended periods in such cases while the investigation proceeds.
