Vertical Horizon Rocks Suwanee

The band gives a well-received performance Saturday at Town Center Park

Suwanee made a distinct impression on Vertical Horizon on Saturday.

"I'm dating myself, but I don't care," singer Matt Scannell told the audience at Town Center Park during the band's show. "Your City Hall looks like the Hall of Justice," he said, a reference to a 1970s comic books superhero series. "I expected to see Aquaman. Now I know that the Hall of Justice is in Suwanee, Georgia."

And the popular alternative rock band also made a good impression on the sizable crowd, with a two-hour show that included all the band's familiar songs. "Everything You Want," their signature song, was the finale of the regular set, and the band came back for a lively encore. The show ended about 10:30 p.m.
