INNOVATIVE MEMORY CARE COMMUNITY NOW OPEN— READY TO PROVIDE MUCH NEEDED, SPECIALIZED SERVICES

The leader in memory care just opened its first community in the Atlanta areaAutumn Leaves of Sugarloaf. The 26,000 square foot, $10 million memory care community provides a home-like environment for as many as 46 residents living with Alzheimer’s and dementia-related illnesses. The community offers free programs to the public including seminars, support groups, memory testing, and a free day stay on Wednesdays to give family members and caregiver’s relief. Autumn Leaves of Towne Lake, the second Autumn Leaves Community in the Atlanta area is also currently under construction. Atlanta’s constantly diversifying economy, large population and geographic size are key drivers in the strategic growth of the Autumn Leaves platform in the Atlanta market.

“We are excited that our doors at our Sugarloaf location are now open, and we can start moving residents into their new home. There is such a great need for specialized memory care,” said Jodie Massey, Regional Director of Sales and Marketing. “Autumn Leaves of Sugarloaf is bringing a whole new aspect for residents living with Alzheimer’s, dementia and memory loss. Our building is specifically designed for someone who is living with memory impairment but also provides them with the home-like, safe and secure environment. Daily activities, life enrichment programs and a fresh, healthy menu are all part of the community life here that keeps our residents stimulated and happy.”

Autumn Leaves of Sugarloaf includes a brand new interior design model based on the latest scientific research. From the type and color of the light, to the number of windows, to the type of artwork, carpet, paint, and furniture, everything was chosen with the intention of providing the best environment for residents living with Alzheimer’s and dementia. The community also has its own Culinary Director who will freshly prepare food from scratch while working with a nutritionist, doctor and dietician to create meals enjoyed by residents in private dining rooms. The residents will also experience life enrichment programs that use touch, laughter, music, and dance to engage senses and personality. Autumn Leaves is designed as a complete memory care community, and our residents will have access to the entire building and three courtyards.
