Another Art Exhibit Planned for Suwanee

Artist-painted doors will be on display and for auction in Suwanee and Gwinnett beginning in October.

Add doors to the lengthening list of art objects to be displayed in Suwanee.

According to a city news release, an art exhibit of approximately 150 artist-painted doors will be on display at Sims Lake Park in Suwanee and other Gwinnett locations in October.

Through October, approximately 30 doors are expected to be displayed in Suwanee, with some at Town Center Park. Other doors will be displayed in Duluth, Norcross, and Snellville.

The Doors to Homes & Hope exhibit is designed to support families in need of decent, affordable homes, and arts in Gwinnett County. Proceeds from auctioning and selling the doors will benefit Gwinnett Habitat for Humanity/ReStore and ArtWorks! Gwinnett.

The exhibit will open Oct. 5 and close Nov. 2, when the doors will be brought to Sims Lake Park for auction pick-up and onsite purchases, the release said.
