Disc Golf Course Gets a Test Drive
The course in Suwanee Creek Park is scheduled for an opening in spring 2014.
That new disc golf course that is under construction at Suwanee Creek Park has gotten a test play. So everything appears to be headed for an opening in spring 2014.
According to a Facebook post by the City of Suwanee, several people engaged in trial play on Dec. 7. (See the attached widget window.)
"Thanks to the Gwinnett Disc Golf Organization for helping us get a great turnout for Saturday's test play! Their was a lot of excitement and positive comments about the course and we appreciate the helpful feedback we received. Despite the cold weather and wet ground, we had a fantastic day giving Suwanee Creek it's first run!," the post read.
It will be the only disc golf course at a municipal park in Gwinnett County. There are courses at county parks in Lawrenceville and Snellville, and one is under construction in Dacula.
