Gwinnett Church 'Finalizing' Details of Fall Launch

Pastor of megachurch plans webcast Tuesday for discussion.

A megachurch that plans a permanent home near Suwanee will be discussing details in a webcast Tuesday of a fall launch in a temporary home in Gwinnett, a staff member said Monday.

Kristen Franklin, assistant to Gwinnett Church pastor Jeff Henderson, said Monday in an email that Gwinnett Church is still finalizing details of a fall launch that includes a location and service times.

The church plans to build a permanent home on Peachtree Industrial Boulevard near the West Price Road intersection. It owns 52 acres there and reportedly plans to begin construction in 2012.

The church is an offshoot of Alpharetta-based North Point Ministries. It has held some services at the Gwinnett Center in Duluth. According to its website, it is "not currently meeting on a regular basis."

Gwinnett Church also was sponsor of a musical event in Suwanee as part of the May Toast @ Town Center event. But that was canceled due to rain.
