Gwinnett Pools Preparing To Open May 28

Special passes are available for county residents.

Gwinnett County acquatic centers are preparing to open May 28, and residents can purchase special FUNCARDS that will be valid at all Gwinnett pools.

Gwinnett parks operates two indoor and seven outdoor leisure pools, four indoor competition pools, three indoor instructional pools, and one outdoor pool.

Year-round, seasonal or 10-visit FUNCARDS are valid at all Gwinnett County pools, according to a county media release. All paying patrons (18-up) will be required to furnish proof of residency in order to avoid paying the non-resident rates.

Gwinnett County residents have the option to purchase a Resident Passport as a convenient way to show proof of residency. FUNCARDS and Resident Passports can be purchased at all aquatic facilities and various gyms and community centers.

All county pools are accessible for people with disabilities and offer safe, supervised swimming places for people of all ages. For more details on locations, and hours of operation, or other amenities, visit the county website.

Purchase a Resident Pass to show proof of residency? Hopefully a driver's license will be sufficient.

Tom, a license should be fine. From my experience with libraries and voting in other counties, a current utility bill or two (gas, electric, cable) will work as well. In some cases just any piece of stamped mail addressed to you has sufficed. But if you have any questions, ask the county.
