Megachurch Begins Services at Gwinnett Arena on Sunday

Gwinnett Church eventually plans a permanent home near Suwanee.

A Gwinnett megachurch that plans a permanent home near Suwanee cranks up regular services this weekend at the Gwinnett Arena.

Gwinnett Church pastor Jeff Henderson said in an email to followers this week that services in Duluth will begin Sunday, Oct. 2, at 6 p.m. Plans also had been disclosed in a webcast in July.

"We will have Waumba Land, UpStreet, and Transit for children and students," Henderson said in the latest email.

Gwinnett Church also was a sponsor of the Toast @ Town Center event in August at . The land for its permanent site is in Sugar Hill on Peachtree Industrial Boulevard, not far from North Gwinnett Middle School.
