In a previous blog post, Henderson said, "When Gwinnett Church moves in to our future location, we will be next door to both North Gwinnett Middle and High Schools."

North Gwinnett Middle School is on Peachtree Industrial Boulevard near Suwanee Dam Road, and North Gwinnett High is a short distance away on Level Creek Road.

The church is an offshoot of Alpharetta-based North Point Ministries. It has held some services at the Gwinnett Center in Duluth while it seeks a permanent home. According to its website, it is "not currently meeting on a regular basis."

Another report said construction will begin in 2012, and should take 12 months to complete. Two tracts totaling 52 acres reportedly cost $8.7 million. The site is in Sugar Hill, near the West Price Road intersection.

Also, Gwinnett Church was sponsor of a musical event in Suwanee as part of the May "Toast @ Town Center" event. But that was canceled due to rain.

Gwinnett Church officials could not be reached for comment Friday.
