Last week, there was much entertainment news involving Suwanee. Consider:

Everett Music Barn's new owners: The property on Stonecypher Road that hosted bluegrass concerts by area musicians as far back as the 1960s got new ownership. The Suwanee Music Barn group plans to touch up the structures and open things back up to regulars and newcomers this spring.

Lady Gaga tickets: The City of Suwanee has a campaign to boost business in the Gateway district, and it is offering tickets to the upcoming Lady Gaga concert as top prize. The contest concludes today.

"Days Of Our Lives" tour: Some cast members of the longtime TV show are on a national tour to promote a book, and Suwanee will be a stop on March 21. The show is the longest-running scripted event in NBC history, 45 years and counting.

Schools map: The controversial redistricting involving the Peachtree Ridge and Duluth clusters got more detailed as Gwinnett school officials released maps and data on proposed changes. The area around the Gwinnett Place Mall in Duluth is the most affected, with those students targeted for Duluth schools.

Burnette Jr. mayoral plans: The first known potential candidate for mayor has surfaced. James "Jimmy" Burnette Jr., whose family has deep roots in Suwanee, said he's considering running for the city's top elected post this fall. Burnette Jr. has been a council member since 1996.
