Suwanee Livability Honors Keep on Coming

Money magazine again has recognized the city, citing several factors.

Another day, another honor for Suwanee's livability.

The latest recognition comes from Money magazine, which has rated Suwanee as No. 33 among best small towns nationally, according to a city news release. Also, Suwanee was the highest ranked community in Georgia.

The magazine, which previously honored Suwanee in 2007 and 2009, considered median family income and home values; education and crime scores; quality-of-life factors such as health care, arts, and leisure; and intangibles like community spirit, city officials said.

"It's great to receive national recognition for our community through such a rigorous process and from such a prestigious publication," Suwanee Mayor Jimmy Burnette said in the release. "We're excited to be recognized as the best small town in Georgia and committed to continually improving our community and the quality of life for our residents."

Similar honors for Suwanee also have come from Family Circle magazine and Kiplinger magazine (in 2012).
