Suwanee Photo Competition Under Way Again

The city is hosting Snap Suwanee again.

Attention, shutterbugs and online photo junkies. The City of Suwanee is holding its annual photo contest again.

The Snap Suwanee competition is under way through Dec. 31, according to a city news release. The contest is for photos from throughout the year at parks, events, home, schools, special occasions, and anyplace some "photo magic" has taken place.

"This competition is a fun way for residents to share their vision and personal photographs that help demonstrate why national publications continually name Suwanee as one of the country's best places to live," said Public Information Officer Lynne DeWilde. "The old saying that a picture's worth a thousand words certainly remains truer than ever in our go-go, digital world."

Ideally, photos would be taken within the Suwanee city limits, and should represent Suwanee in some way. More guidelines and applications are available on the city website.

Winning photos will be on display at Suwanee City Hall beginning in March 2014.

Also, entries can be shared online via Instagram, with the hashtag #snapsuwanee.

-- Also, you can share your pics of Suwanee on our Town Square board.
