"Filligan's Island," a one-act play written and produced by SPA founders Berneta Bock Davis and Patty Etherton, will open for "Mermaid Jr." It is a spoof of the "Gilligan's Island" TV show.
More than 75 cast and crew will take area residents to a magical kingdom fathoms below, where the beautiful young mermaid Ariel (Erin Caruso) longs to leave her ocean home to live in the world above, the news release said. But first, she'll have to defy her father King Triton (Jonathan McCravy), make a deal with the evil sea witch Ursula (Rachel Wagner), and convince Prince Eric (Justin Hermosilla) that she’s the girl with the enchanting voice.
