Suwanee Park Hosting Art/Photo Exhibit

Two photographers' works are at Gwinnett's George Pierce Park through September.

An art exhibit that includes photographs of various Gwinnett County scenes is now on display at .

"Scenes From Gwinnett" by Hal Jones showcases photographs throughout the county, according to a Gwinnett County news release.

Also, a second exhibit on display is entitled "Doors to the World," by Charles Rogers. Rogers’ photography reflects his travels.

The exhibit is free and open through Sept. 27. Days/hours are Mon. – Thurs. 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Fri. 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and Sat. 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Jones enjoyed decades of snapshot photography in Europe, the United States and Asia. He retired to Gwinnett County in 1976 after serving 22 years in the Army. In 2005, he began utilizing a more digital process for his photography, according to the news release.

Rogers has received many awards, most recently in 2006, for Outstanding Achievement in Amateur Photography by the International Society of Photographers.
