Lots to do in Norcross this week:

Vargas & Harbin Studio Gallery participating in Atlanta Celebrates Photography, an annual citywide festival by a nonprofit arts organization by the same name. The exhibition, which debuts Friday, Oct. 12, and ends Nov. 10, artists such as Naima Abdullahi, Chuck Cimarik, Craig Cornmesser and the gallery's own Reinaldo Vargas and Charles Harbin. Check out the opening reception Friday at 7 p.m.

There's also a new exhibition at Kudzu Art Zone as part of the ACP event. The new exhibit, Annual PhotoMix Exhibit of Photography, debuted last Friday, Oct. 5, and it will have a opening reception Oct. 19.

The Upsilon Alpha Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority presents a concert series in Thrasher Park featuring Hank Stewart. According to the sorority website, Stewart was on the main stage of ESSENCE Music Festival and he's an Emmy award-winning poet for the commercials for Fox 5 Black History month. At $35 a ticket for the Norcross show, all proceeds will go to benefit the Gwinnett Pearls of Service Foundation in support of their scholarship fund and community enrichment initiatives.

Lamborghinis, Maseratis, Ferraris, oh my! Italian Car Day is this Saturday. Head to Lillian Webb Park around 10 a.m. to see all the shiny cars, vintage and new.

The next show for the Eastman Gun Show is also this weekend from Oct. 13-14 at the North Atlanta Trade Center. Guns, ammunition and other accessories will be available to see and purchase at the fair. For more information, check out www.eastmangunshows.com.
