What Is Your Favorite SculpTour 2013 Piece?

The newest Suwanee outdoor art gallery is now in place. Share your faves.

Adding its usual edgy touch, Suwanee has a 3-D effect to SculpTour 2013.

The city's third walkable outdoor art gallery has been on display around Town Center since May 18, and it again offers unique exhibits. And this time, the pieces will be there until March 2015.

None is more unique than a sidewalk art piece that, when viewed through a smartphone camera, has a 3-D effect.

Also, "Who Let The Dogs Out" is among the other exhibits (see attached photo).

According to a city news release, pieces included in the 2013-15 SculpTour exhibit are:

  • Aplomb - Luke Achterberg, Lexington, Kentucky
  • Blue Trees and Sky - Cathrin Hoskinson, Brooklyn
  • Crescendo - Gregory Johnson, Cumming, Ga.
  • Crossing V - Christopher Newman, Chicago
  • Dancer 10 - Jack Howard-Potter, New York City
  • Fay - Cecilia Lueza, St.Petersburg, Fla. 
  • Giraffe - Jonathan Bowling, Greenville, North Carolina
  • Iron Canopy - Phil Proctor, Atlanta
  • Music from My Father - Fred Ajanogha, College Park, Ga.
  • Pick - Andrew T. Crawford, Atlanta
  • Reflection - Michael Russell, Athens, Tenn.
  • Ring Bound - Davis A. Whitfield IV, Mountain City, Tenn.
  • Vertigo - Robert Cordisco, Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.
  • Who Let the Dogs Out? - Jim Collins, Signal Mountain, Tenn.

People can view the entire SculpTour 2013 lineup -- and vote for their favorites, on the city website.

The "people's choice" voting winner will be purchased for permanent display in the city. All funds for SculpTour are from private donations.
