Flash Mob Concludes Suwanee Day 2012 Parade

Dancers and music go center stage in Town Center Park on Saturday morning.

Parade? For Suwanee Day, it included a flash mob.

For the second straight year, Suwanee Day festivities featured a flash mob, a rousing impromptu-looking but highly choreographed display of dance and music. Not long after the final parade entry moved past the reviewing stand on Buford Highway about 9:45 a.m. Saturday (Sept. 15), rock music broke out.

Then some dancers in the parade led the way into Town Center Park, joined others, and Hall and Oates' "You Make My Dreams Come True" became the signature song. Appropriate, considering the Suwanee Day theme is "Catch A Dream."

A flash card display concluded the flash mob. Now, Suwanee Day gives way to events in the park. A concert by The Smithereeens at 8 p.m. will cap the events.
