Great Labor Day Barbecue in Suwanee

Suwanee is home to some great restaurants for the traditional Labor Day treat.

Labor Day weekend is a great time to have barbecue. Suwanee has several BBQ restaurants that are sure to satisfy.

1. Jim 'N Nick's on Old Peachtree Road sticks to its motto of low and slow when they are cooking their meat. Pork is on the grill for up to 14 hours and all food is made from scratch. Big portions and an easy atmosphere make it a great choice for a BBQ dinner.

2. Shane's Rib Shack not only has great ribs, they also have daily specials. Here is what is happening at Shane's Rib Shack this week.

4. So it may not be BBQ in the traditional sense, but it is so good it had to be added on the list. KOA BBQ is located in Assi Shopping Center on Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road. KOA offers Korean BBQ style meat. Dishes are relatively inexpensive and quickly served. While there, you can also try many other types of food, like the soup or sushi, for BBQ with an international flair.

5. While they have other items on the menu, Outback Steakhouse has great items on the "barbie." Barbecue items include shrimp on the barbie, chicken, and ribs smothered a tangy barbecue sauce. Outback is located on Gwinco Boulevard near the intersection of Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road and I-85.
