Lake Lanier's Magical Nights of Lights Opens Nov. 16

The Lake Lanier light show is celebrating its 20th anniversary.

This Friday, Nov. 16, North Georgia’s Lake Lanier Islands Resort opens its gates for the 20th annual Magical Nights of Lights holiday light show.

The self-guided driving tour includes miles of animated light displays and a stop at the Holiday Village where guests can enjoy carnival rides, hot chocolate, roasted marshmallows and visits with Santa Claus. The live nativity begins Dec. 1 and new this year is the Verizon Wireless ice skating rink.

Discount coupons are available at Publix, Chick-fil-A, McDonald's, QuikTrip, Lenny’s Subs and Audi Gwinnett. Through November, these $10 coupons will be doubled for $20 off per vehicle (regular price for admission is $60 per carload).

Also, Magical Nights of Lights guests are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items Nov. 23-25 to benefit Free Chapel’s His Harvest House, a local food bank ministry in Hall County. Guests will receive one free carnival ride per canned good, limit four per carload.

For additional information and to purchase passes online, visit the Magical Nights of Lights website.
