This isn't exactly the justice of the peace. But it may mean you won't have to fly to Vegas for a glitzy wedding.

Construction has started near Suwanee on a high-end wedding facility: Ashton Gardens Wedding Chapel and Reception Complex on Peachtree Industrial Boulevard near West Price Road, according to City Of Sugar Hill documents. This would be near North Gwinnett Middle School. Opening is expected in May 2013, and the website says people can book weddings now. In fact, its Facebook site says one wedding already has been booked.

"We are moving right along with construction and have started clearing!," Ashton Gardens said in a Facebook post. (See the attached photo.)

The website for Ashton Gardens describes the facility thusly: "Nestled within a private forest, Ashton Gardens will offer a unique wedding experience for the greater Atlanta area. This unusual site will create the perfect setting to exchange or renew wedding vows in a distinctive-glass enclosed chapel and to celebrate in style among stunning views of the surrounding lush greenery, trees, and fountain courtyards."

Price? The website quotes no figures. But a post on answers.com puts the figure at $5,000-$10,000. "(A) really classy and expensive place like this doesn't want to talk prices until they have you at the table," the posting read.

The company also has facilities in Houston and Dallas-Fort Worth. It says facilities are also available for private and business gatherings.
