GMC Buys Vacant Duluth Center for Expansion -- Duluth Patch

The vacant shopping center on Howell Ferry Road across from Gwinnett Medical Center-Duluth has been bought for hospital expansion.

The purchase by Gwinnett Medical Center of the 72,000-square-foot center, known as the Ingles shopping plaza, occurred after several years of discussion. The official name of the center is At Howell Station.

“Through this acquisition, we’ll have an additional 10 acres of land and 72,000 square feet of building space, which can be developed to support our strategic long-term growth,” said GMC Executive Vice President and COO Thomas Shepherd.

Johns Creek Musicians to Perform on Letterman -- Johns Creek Patch

Two years ago Von Grey were playing at Matildas Under the Pines in Alpharetta, these days the quartet of sisters from Johns Creek are moving on to bigger things.

Tuesday night they are set to perform their original brand of soulful alternative folk on "The Late Show With David Letterman."

"It's still pretty new news to us," Fiona von Grey, 15, told Patch. "We were not expecting anything like this." Fiona credits Von Grey's management team, Red Light, with booking the Letterman gig. They plan to perform their song "Coming For You."
