Purple People Eaters Spotted in Suwanee
Toast @ Town Center raises thousands of dollars with various events.
Several hundred people turned out and thousands of dollars were raised last Thursday at Suwanee's Town Center Park. The first Toast @ Town Center event for 2011 had a "Paint The Town Purple" theme.
City officials said Monday that several businesses raised an estimated $2,000. Apart from that, Hairllucinations raised $512 for Relay for Life doing purple hair streaks (see photos and video), and Ippolito's donated $500.
Businesses at Town Center said they were much busier than on typical Thursday evenings, according to Suwanee officials.

Suwanee's Toast @ Town Center events will continue monthly in 2011 on the fourth Thursday.
