Roach Spray Violation, Other Problems Get Suwanee Restaurant a 'U'

Moe's Southwest Grill in Suwanee has received a "65/U" score on a recent health inspection by the Georgia Department of Public Health.

The restaurant at 3320 Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road No. 20H was cited for several violations on Sept. 30. Among them:

  • Violation of Code: [.07(6)(e) ] Domestic use roach spray stored under the dish sink. Roach spray was discarded at the time of inspection. Poisonous or toxic materials shall be used according to:(i) Law and this Chapter; (ii) Manufacturer's use directions included in labeling, and, for a pesticide, manufacturer's label instructions that state that use is allowed in a food service establishment.  Corrected On-Site.  New Violation.

  • Multiple employee purses & 1 employee drink stored above food on the dry storage shelves. 1. Areas designated for employees to eat, drink, and use tobacco shall be located so that food, equipment, linens, and single-service and single-use articles are protected from contamination. 2.Lockers or other suitable facilities shall be located in a designated room or area where contamination of food, equipment, utensils, linens and single-service and single-use articles can not occur.  New Violation.
