The SpaceX capsule Dragon became the first privately-funded vehicle to rendezvous with the International Space Station. The company's mission control in Hawthorne, Calif., teamed with NASA on the effort. And the camera is still live, so you can watch the astronauts float around the vessel.
Wilkes Meat Market of Suwanee has family roots that date to before World War II. Now, their new cookbook also has a humanitarian mission. Family member Jennifer Wilkes needs a kidney transplant.

The Gwinnett County 2012 election season formally began, as candidates for Board of Comissioners, school board and judge/court positions had to formally place their names on the ballots. The primary is July 31, and the general election is Nov. 6.
