Wingstop Planning Sites Near Suwanee

National chain announces signing of two-restaurant development agreement in Duluth.

Wingstop, the Richardson, TX-based 550-plus unit wing chain, has signed a franchise development agreement to open two restaurants in Duluth. Sites have not yet been selected for the restaurants.

Duluth resident Anila Lalani, who currently works as a research oncology nurse, is reviewing potential sites and plans to open the first of her two Wingstop locations later this year, according to an announcement by Wingstop.

“My husband and I have lived in Duluth for several years and love being part of the community,” said Lalani in the news release. “We’re excited to introduce Wingstop to new fans. There’s really nothing else like it here in Duluth, and we can’t wait to open our first restaurant.”

Currently, Wingstop has three restaurants in the Augusta, GA, area, a location in Columbus, GA, and three more in the Atlanta area, including Lawrenceville. Sixteen more locations are under construction or in development in Georgia.

“I’ve been a huge fan of the Wingstop product since I worked in Lufkin, TX, right after college. When we started to consider opening a new franchise, I immediately thought of Wingstop,” added Lalani. “The quality of the food is exceptional, and the simplicity of the concept is what really sold us on the brand as operators.”
