Meet & Greet Jef Fincher with special guest Herman Cain

I am challenging the "Status Quo" and mounting a grassroots campaign to unseat a popular incumbent that supports Common Core. Next Wednesday C.H.A.R.G.E. will host a meet & greet for me with special guest Herman Cain.
Time 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm at the Suwanee Town Center. In the event of rain the event will be held at North Gwinnett High School indoors in The Commons area. Below is a letter that went out to voters this week.

Dear Neighbor:

I want to personally invite to you two events next week to discuss my platform. More importantly I want to introduce my positive vision to reign in an unresponsive government that continues to spend more of our tax dollars while looking for ways to get more of our hard earned money in taxes.

My platform is simple:

1. I am running on self-impose term limits. I will serve no more than 4 terms (8 years)

2. I want to reduce State spending not increase it. My opponent voted for a 300 million dollar increase. I propose that we use the Connie Mack plan on our State budget, reducing it 1% until our elected officials provide tax relief to the taxpayers of Georgia. It concerns me greatly that with a Republican governor and Republican legislature we continue to think spending more on government will make it better.

3. I am in favor of local control of schools. The local school board is the closet elected body to the parents, teachers and students, which is where decisions need to be made about the classroom. I oppose Common Core. True it has been politicized, but it is untested and the unintended consequences are great in terms of the security of student’s records and privacy.

It is not an easy task I’ve undertaken in challenging my friend Brooks Coleman. I respect his contributions to our community, but after 22 years it is time that you as a voter had a choice. I am running for an office not against a friend.

I hope you will seriously consider my candidacy for the State House. I pledge to you that I will not ever use robocalls or build a Campaign war chest to ward off challengers. The public office I seek belongs to you the voter and I will earn your vote or you will choose someone else to represent you. It is that simple.

I humbly ask for your vote.

Jef Fincher
