There can be little doubt that through the amending process of SB 167 in the House committee, the original intent of the Bill has been lost. Senator Ligon, the Sponsor of the Bill, has withdrawn his support of the Bill as amended. It appears the will of the Committee Leadership is to attempt to sidestep the political firestorm of CCSS while doubling down on its implementation in Georgia. In following this path you have further shown that politics trumps the interest of the Citizens of Georgia. It is truly a sad day for the children of Georgia. I urge each of you as Members of the Education Committee to vote against passage of SB 167 as amended in committee and ask that it not be moved to the floor for consideration.

 Best regards,

 Jef Fincher
