The brick walls are there for a reason

“The brick walls are there for a reason. The brick walls are not there to keep us out. The brick walls are there to give us a chance to show how badly we want something. Because the brick walls are there to stop the people who don’t want it badly enough. They’re there to stop the other people.”

“Every journey begins with a step, what you do along the way is called living.”  That is my post today on Facebook as I consider my qualifying to run for the State House. I must say it not an easy decision given the circumstances.

Those of you that know me, know my passion for conservative values. If you are reading this essay you have probably read my other posts. I am a strong believer in the duties of citizenship and the responsibility of participation in the governing process. Like you I am frustrated at the direction we are headed as a State and Country. We have lost our sovereignty as a State by adopting and accepting Federal money and with it, Federal mandates. We are becoming more and more dependent on Federal dollars that go to expand government and in the process hurt small business and job creation.

I like an analogy I used last week at the Republican breakfast. We are all passengers on a perfectly good airplane, however we are now far away from shore over the ocean, and the plane has run out of fuel. It matters not how many times you go through the cabin trying to raise money for fuel, there is none available at any price. It is no different for our economy. We are using money to build government that would be more productive in the free market. You need look no further than Obamacare to understand the consequences.  So if you believe as I do in limited government, then please learn more about my campaign by visiting Votejeffincher.com
