Police Sergeant Charged With Aggravated Assault - Cumming Patch

A DeKalb County sergeant and Cumming resident has been charged with aggravated assault.

The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office has arrested Scott A. Biumi, 48, of Cumming and charged him in connection with an incident that occurred last week at the McDonald's on Old Atlanta Road in Cumming. 

At around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday April 9, Biumi became upset with another customer in the drive-through lane at McDonald's.

Husband and Wife Shot Trying to Stop Car Thieves - Cascade Patch

A group of thieves were attempting to steal a car from a home on Dawson Lane when the two homeowners heard them and tried to stop the robbery in progress.

Capt. Tim Peek of the Atlanta Police Department said, "The victims came outside to confront some suspects who were stealing their vehicle. At some point, gunfire was exchanged with the victims and the suspects all shooting at one another. The victim was shot twice in the back, and the victim’s wife was hit in her leg as well."

Man: 'Anyone Who Got to See Me Naked Is Lucky' - Cartersville Patch

A man accused of bearing all at an extended-stay motel apparently passed out, avoiding a late-night arrest, but was nude again when police returned the next day with an arrest warrant.

Authorities were called about 12:30 a.m. Wednesday to Parkway North by residents who said a man was exposing himself to others and had done it before, including in the presence of children, according to the Cartersville Police Department report.

Police: Teen Punched for Three Hours - West Cobb Patch

Inside a home on Harmony Road last Friday morning, a 16-year-old girl was repeatedly punched in the face over a nearly three hour period.

Keisha Mitchell of Powder Springs allegedly threw the first punch at 2:45 a.m. April 12, according to a Cobb County criminal warrant. The last one was thrown about 5:30 a.m. The teen called her father during the incident, and he contacted the police.
