Hammerheads Seafood Restaurant Is Open in Suwanee

The newest addition to the dining scene is in the old Antigua building on Peachtree Industrial Boulevard.

No sign is left of the previous restaurant, Antigua, at the newly remodeled and renovated Hammerheads Seafood and Sports Grille in Suwanee. From a large bar in the center to flat-screen surrounding the restaurant, and the custom-made beer case, the restaurant (located at 415 Peachtree Indistrial Boulevard) has a fresh look that reflects its diverse menu and new atmosphere.

According to General Manager Cheryl Lemm, Hammerheads opted not to do a grand opening. Instead, they are letting word of mouth do the work, and so far it has been working. Some of the more popular items, like the grouper, have sold out, and others, like the Smoked Fish Dip appetizer, are equally as popular.

The Smoked Fish Dip is made from marlin, typically a sportfish that rarely is eaten. At Hammerhead, it is made into a special recipe that is served with  jalepenos and crackers.

Not really a seafood person? That's OK, too. Hammerheads includes Prime Rib and chicken choices on their menu too.

Lemm has been very impressed with how the Suwanee community has embraced Hammerheads so far.

Hammerhead welcomes diners from from 11-midnight Monday-Thursday, 11am- 2am Friday and Saturday, and Noon-midnight on Sunday. The outdoor patio is scheduled to open in the fall.
