Suwanee Farmer's Market Back for Summer

It was a perfect start to the annual event Saturday.

Sunny weather with just a hint of breeze and the sound of children laughing and running through the fountains made for a perfect morning to start off the Saturday Farmer's Market in Suwanee.

As always, the Farmer's Market offers an array of items. From BBQ sauce, vegetables and plants, there is sure to be something to catch your eye.

Many vendors have returned from last year. It Began With a Seed Farm is a co-op farm that had much success last year. While there is already a waiting list for the co-op, they bring vegetables each Saturday for individual purchase. David and Anita White offer more than 200 varieties of produce over the summer season.

For those who suffer with allergies, make sure to stop by to pick up some local honey. Beekeeper Bob Bradbury comes from Flowery Branch and will share his knowledge on the benefits of local honey with you. Just a small amount a day will help during allergy season if the honey is within 50 to 100 linear miles from your home. A small jar costs $5, and the taste is sweet and pure.

Other vendors to look for include all-natural soap, homemade bread, and hormone free meats.
