Gwinnett Church Changing Worship Sites

After three months at Gwinnett Center, services will be held at Cross Pointe in Duluth beginning in January.

A growing church with thousands of followers is changing worship sites in Gwinnett.

Gwinnett Church, which plans a permanent home near Suwanee, is telling followers that it will be meeting at Cross Pointe Church in Duluth beginning Jan. 8. Since October, Gwinnett Church has been meeting at Gwinnett Center.

In a website posting also posted on Facebook and Twitter, pastor Jeff Henderson said that Cross Pointe officials approached Gwinnett Church and offered to let them worship at Cross Pointe on Sunday nights. Henderson said that Cross Pointe, led by Dr. James Merritt, has "one of the most amazing church facilities I have ever seen."

Gwinnett Church owns 52 acres on Peachtree Industrial Boulevard in Sugar Hill near North Gwinnett Middle School. It is not known when the church plans to build its permanent home there. The church also sponsored a Toast @ Town Center event in Suwanee in August.
