Kindergarten Bootcamp Info Night

Beginning Kindergarten can be scary for both parent and child. The unknown can cause stress and anxiety about starting school.

The Goddard School of Buford will be offering an 8-week Kindergarten Bootcamp this summer to give  rising Kindergarteners the opportunity to experience and prepare for life as a Kindergartner before beginning Kindergarten in the Fall.

The Kindergarten Bootcamp will be taught by credentialed and experienced Kindergarten teachers. The days will follow a typical Kindergarten schedule and will include daily academics and skills review in language & literacy, math & cognitive skills, science & nature studies and social science. Each day will include hands-on Promethean interactive whiteboard and iPad experiences, snack time, and lunch time.

Nightly homework will be assigned to encourage responsibility and independent learning. Regular parent communications through Weekly Activity Reports will help parents reinforce the learning at home.

Formative assessments using the Children’s Progress Academic Assessment (CPAA) will determine each child’s comfort with math and literacy skills.
