Live Jazz Sunday Brunch with Gloria Melancon and her Jazz Trio

Enjoy a wonderful Sunday Jazz brunch and while you are dining you'll be delighted by the musical performance by Gloria Melancon and her Jazz Trio. Our brunch includes all the traditional breakfast items and delicious luncheon
entrees to satisfy a variety of tastes. Choose from pancakes, eggs, fruit and cheese, gravlox, veal meatloaf, Ribeye... just to name a few. Your brunch will be prepared specifically for you. This is not a buffet style and everything is made to order so relax and enjoy a lovely time.


The Gloria Melancon Jazz Trio plays jazz standards from the 40's and 50's -- a classy, easy-listening, jazz/blues/pop group, consisting of keyboard, upright bass, drum, and all three musicians provide vocals. Their performances have been at clubs, restaurants, corporate functions, weddings and
other private events in the metro-Atlanta area.



At 19 years old, Gloria started singing professionally with local Atlanta dance bands.At 20 years old,
she toured with various big bands based out of Savannah and NYC.Her introduction to jazz was as the regular vocalist with national recording artist, the Kai Winding Jazz Septet, based out of NYC.

Some of her other performance highlights were working as vocalist with the Jerry Wald Orchestra for an extended engagement at the famous Roosevelt Grill in NYC; working as regular vocalist with a TV station band in Columbus, OH; working with Atlanta’s Jim Belt Trio to record musical commercials,perform benefit concerts with national headliners, and played a week’s engagement at the famous Jazz Corner in Hilton Head.


More recently, Gloria worked for eight years with the Gainesville Arts Council to help establish their “Evenings of Intimate Jazz” series.She performed in three of their once-a-month concerts and also worked with them to sponsor a regularly-scheduled Singers Open Mike. She has also recorded a CD -- "Love Had Its Way".
