Founded in 1991 by Artistic Director Joan Kall Stewart, Sawnee Ballet Theatre provides young dancers the opportunity to perform and develop their artistic talents in a professional-level environment. Sawnee Ballet Theatre, a non profit company, has presented classical ballets such as Swan Lake and Sleeping Beauty featuring nationally and internationally renown artists Anna Finch, Andre Ustinov, Elena Martinson, and Yaroslav Fadeyev. Our annual performances of The Nutcracker and our Spring Concert make it possible for school children and the community to enjoy full-length ballet performances right here in Forsyth County. The Nutcracker will be performed at South Forsyth High School auditorium and performance dates are Thursday, December 19th through Sunday, December 22nd.
